Ground-Mounted Solar for Your Home
When the roof isn't right, we move the array to open ground. We design rows of panels around your yard, usage, and budget.
When we recommend ground solar
The Power of Solar, Where It Makes the Most Sense
Solar energy is a clean, renewable power source that drastically lowers utility bills and reduces your carbon footprint by capturing the sun's natural energy. It is a smart, long-term investment that provides energy independence and increases your home's overall value.
When your roof isn't ideal, a ground-mounted system is often the best alternative. We only suggest ground-mounted systems when they genuinely make more sense than the roof. During a visit, we'll stand in the yard with you and talk through what that would look like.
Large trees, dormers, or complex roof lines? We avoid fighting the structure and look for clean sun in the yard instead.
If you're planning for EVs, heat pumps, or future batteries, we design the ground array with room to grow.
If the roof actually is the better spot, we'll tell you that too. The goal is a system that works well for the long term, not just what fits today.

These aren't requirements, but if a few match your place, ground solar is worth a look.

How a typical ground solar project runs
Our team handles layout, structure, electrical work, and the paperwork so the build feels straightforward on your side.
- 1
Walk the property together
We look at your yard, setbacks, and shading to find the cleanest spot for a small array or a full field of panels.
- 2
Design for tilt and spacing
Because we're not constrained by a roof, we set the tilt, direction, and row spacing to get the most out of each panel.
- 3
Build the structure
Posts, ground screws, or concrete, then racking and panels. Everything is engineered for your soil and wind conditions.
- 4
Trench, wire, and turn on
We trench back to your house, tie into the panel, pass inspections, and turn the system on.

We handle permits and utility sign-off
Our designers and project managers work with your county and utility so your system is approved and inspected correctly.
Questions we hear a lot
A few quick answers about ground-mounted solar.
Will it look strange sitting in my yard?
We keep arrays low and in straight rows, often along a fence line or at the back of the property. During design we'll show you different placement options and heights so you can pick what feels right.
What about kids, pets, or mowing?
We fence or mark off the array area and leave access paths for mowers or small equipment. Wires are buried, and in most cases you can still use the yard the way you always have.
Is ground solar more expensive than roof solar?
There is extra cost for posts, racking, and trenching, but you often gain production by pointing panels exactly where they should go. We price roof and ground options side by side so you can compare.
How long does a ground project usually take?
Once permits are approved, most residential installs build out in a few days. The longest part is usually permitting and utility review, which we handle for you.
Wondering if ground solar will fit on your property?
We'll walk the yard, check clearances, and give you a straight answer with pricing and options.
